Joke of the Week Dept. It's Back to the Future .... part ...??

StarDate 10-05.7. It has been brought to our attention that within the planetary archives for early twenty first century earth the following message was discovered within the wreckage of an intradimensional scout ship (must have been an early model). Time travel like communication between parallel universes is a costly affair which only recently became practical after the demilitarization of all federation and nearby territories. (The efficiencies of parecon economics have been well known for centuries but try telling that to the average "blimp" to borrow a phrase from old twentieth century Britain.) A converted battle cruiser making an "archeological" expedition recently landed at the above date.

Somewhere in the multiverse there is another W.S. who had the sense or fortune to leave Regina in the early 1970s. His depersonalization which lasted forty years in this timeline ( causing the lose of several worthwhile friends from that time including Wayne M from Coldwell Road, P.M. from the cathedral village area and a few others ) disappeared after a few months of working for his uncle in Ontario, getting married and picking up a first degree at Toronto. Eventually worked his way up to a PHD in engineering and this moment having a pint with an ambulatory Stephen Hawking.

Meanwhile W.V. the professional mental patient in this timeline ("wah wah give me a pill" , "wah wah, the conspiracy doesn't want me to get a job" ) escapes his guilt ridden Catholic family, gains some generosity of spirit and becomes a faculty member in the comp-sci department. His sociopathic brother is killed in Iraq ... or not? Whoops, the Catholic church was abolished 100 years earlier so he's an only child. The other W.V. also gets married although a little later in life. Runs into the other P. M. near the beginning of the twenty first century. All three retired to a research colony in what used to be called the west of England, nation-states having been rendered superfluous after the libertarian general strike in Europia circa 1984.
